Ongallur Grama Panchayat is a village panchayat located in the Palakkad district of Kerala, under the Pattambi Taluk. Associated with the riverbank regions of the Bharathapuzha, this area represents the plains landscape and rural lifestyle of central Kerala.

Location:
Ongallur is situated in the western part of the Palakkad district, near Pattambi.

Topography:
The region mainly consists of plains. Paddy fields, small agricultural lands, ponds, and streams are among the prominent geographical features of the area.

The water networks associated with the Bharathapuzha support agricultural activities in the region. During the monsoon season, small streams and water bodies become active.

Climate:
The area experiences a tropical climate. Southwest monsoon rains are received from June to September.

The region is connected by road to major towns such as Pattambi, Shoranur, and Perinthalmanna. The nearby railway station commonly used is Pattambi Railway Station.
