'Take a Break' (Vazhiyidam)

'Take a Break' (Vazhiyidam) is a major development initiative implemented by the Ongallur Grama Panchayat to provide safe and hygienic rest facilities for travelers and the general public.

This center operates within the Family Health Centre (FHC) compound located in Ward 5 of the Panchayat. The Panchayat established this facility to offer a peaceful rest stop and basic amenities for patients and bystanders visiting the Family Health Centre, as well as local residents and long-distance travelers.

Additionally, a canteen led by women entrepreneurs under Kudumbashree successfully functions within this complex.
